I love Terry Pratchett's writing and his Discworld series. I eventually want to read them all! So here you can find an overview of each book and my star rating in the main series as well as books about the Discworld and related works. I have a section on my general thoughts (why I like the series, where I think you should start etc.) detailed reviews and my current ranking!

General info

I read my first Terry Pratchett book in 2023. It was Mort as I had been recommended to start with the Death series. I'm glad I did because it is such a good book, but I would recommend you start with Equal Rites! It's a great introduction to the politics and magic of the world but from a fringe perspective rather than being thrust into the centre of it all.

I love Terry Pratchett's writing style, his (very British) humour work so well alongside the simultaneously mudane and exeptional plots. I say mundane because for the characters in the story, their lives are mundane. They're not chosen by a power to go on an adventure, they're just dealing with the needs of their lives. That includes Death. His series is really cool and one I do recommend reading early on because you get to see so much of the world from the perspective of someone who is so influential on it yet unable to be part of it.
