PLAYED: (Steam Deck) What Remains of Edith Finch (2017)

This video game was on my wishlist for a while and recently my partner bought it for me. I didn't know anything about it beforehand and that's definately the way I recommend playing it. I was guessing the whole time how the story would end and was shocked with it. I also thought we'd find a member of the family before the end which sadly we didn't. It's more of interactive visual novel than anything eles because all the game play is compulsory for the purpose of progressing the story. You (sadly) can't not play through each of the stories throughout the house. I liked the variety in the stories, some of them are quite supernatural but most of them are just tragedies. And each has a different kind of play or maybe different style for each so the gameplay didn't get boring.

I would like to play similar games. I know the publisher released Mixtape which I would to get to. My partner has recommended Tangle Tower, and the developer has a new game coming soon. I also started playing Slay the Princess and would love to continue it.
